Speaking during the budget debate, he told Parliament that the families which had appealed for relief, would be provided with an allowance from April next year.
“Some 34,41,032 families out of 57,68,000 families have appealed for relief by October 20. That is 60% of the total families. We will shortlist and pick the eligible families by January next year and start handing out an allowance to eligible families from April next year,” he said.
