The National Savings Bank opens a Banking Services Center at Suhurupaya, Battaramulla to provide Banking Services to Sri Lankan migrants.

The National Savings Bank’s Banking Services Center has been opened at the Immigration and Emigration Department premises , at Suhurupaya, Battaramulla to provide banking services to Sri Lankans living and employed abroad.

Central Bank Governor  Ajith Nivard Cabraal declared open the  new centre  which is single window of banking services for migrants

Through this Banking Service Center, banking services will be provided to Sri Lankans who are already living abroad and aspiring to work.

Through this center, rupee and foreign currency accounts can be opened, remittances can be remitted to Sri Lanka through legal and secure channels, information related to the loan requirements of foreign workers and other banking related information could be obtained .

Whilst Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Ajith Peiris , General Manager / CEO of National Savings Bank, Mr. K. Ravindran, Senior Deputy General Manager, Ms. Christine Jesudian, and Mr. Rohana Weerakoon Deputy General Managers of the Bank , were present on behalf of the National Savings Bank.
