Mahinda Nite 2022, organised by Mahinda College, Galle, Old Boys’ Association (OBA) Colombo, will be held on November 5, at the Bougainvillea Ballroom, Galadari Hotel, Colombo.
The event will be held in aid of the Mahinda College OBA Colombo Scholarship Fund and to provide financial assistance to those students who have made special contributions at national and international level in sports and studies.
Entertainment will be provided by Vision with Damayantha with a guest performance by Mariazelle Goonetilleke, with Mahesh Senanayaka as compere.
The Mahinda College OBA Colombo was started by Henry Woodward Amarasooriya in 1947. Others who have committed to the development of the association are Professor M.B. Ariyapala, Vincent Panditha, Albert Edirisinghe, Somasiri Ambawatta, Professor Vinee Vitharana, Edwin Ariyadasa, Professor Nandadasa Kodagoda, Dr. A.T. Ariyarathna, Dr. W.J. Wimaladharma, Lal de Alwis, Oliver Goonathilaka and Guinness record holder W.B. Benet.
